Ideal for use in the Czech Republic and the EU, it detects both RAMER 7 and AD9 police radars as well as Laser Pro III laser rifles etc. used by the CR Police and the CR Municipal Police. The Beltronics Vector 995 portable anti-radar offers the most advanced methods for detecting police radars and laser radar guns, including new ones operating in the POP 3 K and Ka bands. This detector is extremely suitable and fully applicable to the Czech Republic and other European countries. Key features: - The most suitable model for use in the Czech Republic and Europe - Use is completely legal ! - Easily portable from car to car - Reliably detects police radars RAMER 7 and AD9 and laser guns Laser Pro III - Great variability of settings - can be switched on and off individual bands, control the intensity of the display backlight and the volume of the alarm. Important Note If your car windshield contains metal foil or direct heating, there is a significant reduction in sensitivity. In this case, the portable anti-radar becomes unreliable, as detection often comes very late. Please check with your workshop whether your car windscreen contains a film that would prevent the operation of the portable anti-radar. Operating bands - X-band 10.525 GHz ± 25 MHz - K-band 24.150 GHz ± 100 MHz - Ka-band 34.700 GHz ± 1300 MHz - Ku-band 13.400 GHz ± 25 MHz - Laser 904nm, 33 MHz bandwidth Radar Receiver/Detector Type - Superheterodyne, VCO - Sensing Frequency Resolution - Digital Signal Processor (DSP) Laser Detection - Accelerated Quantum Video Receiver - Multiple Laser Diode Sensor Display - Alphanumeric - 280 sign LED - Bar Graph, Threat Display, Tech Display - 3 brightness levels and "Dark Mode" - Capable of evaluating multiple radar signals and their approximate bandwidth size Voltage - 12V DC, negative ground SmartPlug (included) Sensitivity settings - Highway, City, AutoScan (eliminates false detections) Automatic VG-2 circuit calibration Immune - Shadow Technology™ ensures that the anti-radar is immune to anti-radar detection technologies. Dimensions (mm) - 32 H x 70 W x 120 D Instructions on what to do if you have a conflict with the police If, during a routine police check, a police officer becomes interested in your radar detector, proceed as follows: 1) Do not turn off or remove the detector from the suction cup mount or sun visor. 2) If the officer asks you what the device is or tells you outright that you have a disabled "anti-radar" device in your vehicle, respond as follows: The device in question in the vehicle is a passive radar detector. The passive radar detector does not interfere with or restrict the radar, it only detects its presence. There is no law regulating or prohibiting the use of such devices in the country. 3) Sometimes it happens that the police officer argues that the detector must not be on the windshield. This is deeply mistaken: in 1997, the State Board of Examiners approved the methods of placing detectors in the vehicle, and the suction cup mount is one of the possible permitted methods. 4) It may also happen that the police officer tells the driver that the rules have changed since 16.8.2006. 5) The police officer then tends to threaten ( this happens very often) you, for example, by saying that you are not legally binding: * give you a fine on the spot * take away your driving licence * lose you points in the system There is a very simple answer to this: tell the policeman that you will not deal with your alleged offence on the spot (it is not even legally possible). Other things are not possible. just refuse to talk to him. Tell him calmly that he can make further statements about the alleged offence as a witness in the administrative proceedings to which he will be summoned and that you are not interested in his further talk and that he is wasting your and his precious time: Notice of Offence, to which you will add the following at the bottom: A BELTRONICS type BEL VECTOR 995 portable radar detector has been installed in the vehicle The device is a passive receiver that does not interfere with or restrict radar activity in any way. §Section 3(4) of the Road Traffic Act therefore does not apply. The detector was installed in accordance with the instructions in the manual so that it did not obstruct the driver's view. These facts will be substantiated by a forensic expert report and a statement from the importer and a report from the state testing laboratory. I further state that the police officer number _______________ is not legally authorized or empowered to detect the presence of radar detectors in a vehicle and the evidence so obtained is illegal. 7) Sign the report as standard. Finally, a few notes: a) Take down the officers' service numbers for the purposes of later administrative proceedings. b) It is very useful to record the course of the police check on a dictaphone or mobile phone. It is also a good idea to photograph the situation. Whatever you manage to document may come in handy later. c) The police have no authority ( except in serious cases of reasonable suspicion that are mandated by law - drug detection, weapons, wanted persons,) to search anything in the cab of a vehicle. Nor does a police officer have any authority to enter the cab of a vehicle or remove anything from the cab of a vehicle. ( He could only do this if ordered to do so by a prosecutor or court ). If he does so it can be classed as obtaining evidence in an illegal manner. d) If the police officer continues to be intrusive or tends to "harass" you, the best course of action is to call the Home Office Inspectorate. As a rule, any ordinary policeman will cool down very quickly after this step. In conclusion, I repeat again: the policeman has no right to do anything on the spot, he can only make an official record with you - a report. In the report he will state that you have an anti-radar in your car. There's nothing else he can do. He is not entitled to revoke your driving licence on the spot or to fine you.
